Smoke-free (Standardisation of Tobacco Packaging and Tobacco Products) Regulations – June 2016
It summarises that, proposed standardised packaging regulations represent an important step towards preventing future harm from tobacco to New Zealand’s children and young people. However, these regulations could be strengthened to align with current and emerging evidence and theory without creating significant additional risks of legal or WTO-related challenges by tobacco companies.
